Law Enforcement Orientation Day - February 29

In the upcoming year, Minnesota will need between 1,500-2,000 peace officers and at the current pace, Minnesota college programs cannot keep up with the need to produce certified officers to fill all of these open vacancies. Law Enforcement agencies have been hiring more officers as well as additional officers over the past two years and that trend will continue creating an even greater need for law enforcement officers throughout the state.

The Occupational Scholarship Program which provides financial assistance to students enrolled in qualifying vocational programs at public two-year colleges so students can find employment in a high-demand field, such as law enforcement.

This scholarship will cover all tuition and fee charges.  Yes, ALL! To apply and receive the scholarship for the 2016-2017 academic year, students must complete the FAFSA and register for a vocational program, such as law enforcement, at a public two-year college in Minnesota.

Minnesota West Community and Technical College - Worthington Campus, offers and AAS degree in law enforcement and they encourage you to consider this program and utilize the occupational scholarship program.

There will be a law enforcement program day on Monday, February 29 from 8am-3pm to find out more about the program, meet the instructors and students, and see firsthand some of the classes that enrolled students attend. Please consider this opportunity to enter the field of law enforcement and utilize the occupational scholarship program and earn your degree for FREE!
